We're looking for a dedicated and resilient Support Worker to join our team at a SEND school in Glossop. Position: SEND School Support Worker Location: Glossop Role: Full-Time Temporary with potential for Permanent Experience: Previous experience supporting children or young adults with ASC, SEMH, and behaviour required As a Support Worker in our SEND school, you'll play a vital role in providing tailored assistance and guidance to students with diverse needs. Your strength and resilience will be crucial in supporting students through challenges and creating a nurturing environment for their growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Providing one-on-one support and guidance to students with ASC, SEMH, and behaviour needs. Assisting in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies. Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities. Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students. Requirements: Essential prior experience supporting children or young adults with ASC, SEMH, and behaviour challenges. Strength, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students with SEND. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Axcis offers free CDP and safeguarding training, along with competitive rates of pay. This role would start of at £95 - £110 a day depending on experience.
