Axcis education are looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant for a SEND unit which caters for 20 children, with severe and complex learning needs. The needs of the children include autism, speech and language difficulties and global development delay. The SEND unit is in Truro and is an integral part of a two-form entry mainstream school. The successful candidate will work within a team under the guidance of the teacher. The post will suit someone experienced in, or passionate about, teaching children with complex learning needs and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations. Candidates will need to be good team players who are willing to go the extra mile for their children. You will need have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one.
