Axcis Education has an exciting opportunity for a qualified SEND primary school teacher to work on a full-time, long-term basis in the Preston area. This role would be working with primary school children aged between 5 and 7 with a range of profound and multiple learning difficulties in a specialist school setting. You must have experience of working with SEND children and also be confident to produce your own lessons tailored to the children’s needs. This role involves working with a range of learning difficulties in a small group. Teachers are well supported by TA staff within the classroom. The successful candidate for this role will be a qualified primary school teacher with at least one years’ experience working with SEND children in a school setting. Ideally a candidate will have experience with moving and handling though this is not a requirement for the role. Some children are non-verbal so experience with Makaton and/or PECs is essential.
