Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Post 16 Vocational Courses Location: College in TW2 (Twickenham, London, UK) Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 5:00 pm Are you passionate about supporting students as they pursue vocational education? We are currently seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team at a college in TW2, Twickenham. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support to post-16 students enrolled in vocational courses such as Early Years, IT, Art & Design, etc. Assist students with understanding course materials, completing assignments, and preparing for exams. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning requirements to ensure their success in their chosen courses. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to achieve their potential. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop individualized support plans for students. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, particularly in a post-16 or college setting, is preferred. Understanding of vocational education and the specific challenges faced by students pursuing vocational courses. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development. Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
