Supply teaching assistants for special needs school in south Bristol. Axcis are looking for teaching assistants to work in a special needs school in south Bristol on a ad-hoc basis. The school cater to a wide range to disabilities but has many students with severe learning difficulties including those with some physical impairment. The school often call us with requests for staffing but due to many already being in long term commitments we don't have as many people freely available to pick these bits of work up. We welcome people who have either worked in schools before or who perhaps have worked with special needs in a care setting and are looking to mix up their working life. The right people will need to be approachable, empathetic and closely follow instructions on how best to support all the students. As with any special needs school, expect smaller classes and more staffing per student to best support.
