Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Are you a dedicated and versatile Teaching Assistant with experience across Key Stages 1, 2, 3, or 4? Do you have a strong background in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ADHD, Autism, and SEMH? As a Teaching Assistant in St Helens and the surrounding areas, your responsibilities may include: • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various Key Stages. • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with SEND, including ADHD, Autism, and SEMH. • Adapting teaching materials and methods to meet the diverse needs of students. • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment. • Assisting with behaviour management and providing pastoral support. • Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour. • Collaborating with teaching staff and other professionals to enhance the learning experience. • Offering guidance and assistance to students with their academic and personal development. To be considered for these positions, you should have: • Experience working with children across a range of ages. This could be in an educational, care or youth work setting. • Previous experience supporting students with SEND, such as ADHD, Autism, and SEMH, in either group or one-on-one settings. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs. • The ability to adapt to different educational environments and settings. • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable but not mandatory).
