Job Title: ABA Teaching Assistant
Maidenhead | Term-Time Only
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Daily Rate: From £89 (PAYE)
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a caring and motivated ABA Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Maidenhead supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact and thrives in a structured, supportive setting.
You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils develop communication, independence and social skills, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored support.
Your Role
As an ABA Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques
Help deliver individual learning and behaviour support plans
Encourage positive communication, social interaction and independence
Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff
Assist with personal care when required, ensuring dignity and respect
Create and maintain a calm, safe and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Training or hands-on experience using ABA approaches
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD
Comfortable supporting personal care needs
A patient, resilient and compassionate nature
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Desirable:
Experience within a specialist or SEND school environment
Qualifications in education, psychology or child development
