Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Autism Specialist
ASD & Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School (EN4, Barnet)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD & Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Barnet (EN4). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require additional support to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs
Assist in the development and implementation of individual support strategies
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals
Support students with personal care needs, where required, in a respectful and dignified manner
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people with ASD and/or behavioural challenges
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to individual student needs
A willingness to support personal care when necessary
