Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant
Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH (Secondary Boys) Location: Newham, East London Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Salary: £89 per day upwards Start: 23/02/26 Description: Axcis are working with a secondary boys’ school in Newham that is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with teenage pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and challenging behaviour. This Behaviour Support Assistant role focuses on supporting KS3 and KS4 boys, many of whom require strong role models, clear boundaries and consistent support to help them remain engaged in education. The role involves a mix of 1:1 and small-group support, both in and out of the classroom. The school is particularly interested in candidates with experience working with teenage boys, whether in schools, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, PRUs or alternative provision settings. You will be supporting pupils who may struggle with authority, emotional regulation and behaviour in a mainstream environment.
