Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant? Are you hoping to complete teacher training in the future? If so, Axcis Education have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently working with a Secondary School in Taunton who are looking for a Cover Supervisor. The role will be general subject support so prior experience working in a secondary school and knowledge of the curriculum is essential. The ideal candidate will be kind, confident and not afraid of a new challenge. Working hours for this role are between 8.30 to 3.30 and the daily rate of pay ranges from £100 to £115, depending on experience. Responsibilities include: - Working with permanent staff to plan lessons and deliver these effectively to the students - Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment for the students to progress academically - Tailor the delivery of the lesson to suit the needs and ability of the students including those with SEND - Collaborate with wider school staff to work towards student’s individual Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) - Manage behaviour within the classroom and follow the school’s disciplinary procedures when necessary The requirements for this job include a good level of spoken and written English, a positive and can-do attitude, right to work in UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. You must have an understanding of working with young people in education settings as well as knowledge and experience of special educational needs and disabilities and have a real desire to make a difference.
