We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school in N12 from September. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised learning programmes. Support pupils both in and outside the classroom to encourage engagement and independence. Implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to a positive learning environment. Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff. Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school. Has a calm, patient, and nurturing approach. Can adapt learning to meet individual needs. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Understands safeguarding and inclusive education.
