We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bolton (BL1) for the 2025/2026 academic year. This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate who is considering a career in teaching or education to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing to teacher training.
The Role
As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to provide targeted academic and emotional support.
• Help pupils develop key literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils’ development and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Requirements
• A recent degree (2:2 or above) in any subject.
• A genuine passion for working with children and pursuing a career in education.
• Excellent communication, patience, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
• Previous experience with children (e.g., tutoring, volunteering, mentoring) is desirable but not essential.
