Axcis education are working with an all through SEND school who support students with hearing impairments as well as other complex needs. The school cater for students aged 6 – 18 with a school, college, and residential setting on site. All pupils have hearing impairments and need support with communication whether that be BSL (sign Language), iPad, technology, or Makaton. As a TA you may work with primary or secondary depending on your preference. All class sizes are no more than 6 pupils with a teacher and 1-1 TA’s. You will work on a 1-1 basis with a student and be their communication support as well as emotional and behavioural. To be a successful candidate in this role experience with complex needs or hearing impairments is desirable. A level 1 or 2 in BSL is desirable but not essential. The school are seeking full-time HI TA’s to work Monday to Friday 8:40 – 15:50 with a 30 minute lunch break. Daily rate of pay is £84, you get paid every Friday.
