Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) – Stockport Location: Stockport & Surrounding Areas Start Date: Ongoing – Immediate Work Available Pay: £110.00 - £130.00 PAYE Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in the Stockport area? Axcis Education is seeking skilled HLTAs to work in both primary and secondary schools, supporting pupils’ learning and stepping in to cover lessons where required. About the Role: As an HLTA with Axcis, you will: Support teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups, or whole classes. - Deliver pre-planned lessons and cover for teacher absences. - Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities. - Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEND experience is a bonus!). - Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Requirements: - HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience). - Experience supporting in primary or secondary settings. - Confidence leading whole-class sessions and delivering pre-prepared lessons. - Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
