Job Title: Inclusive Learning Support: SEN TA
Axcis Education is looking for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with diverse SEN requirements, providing them with the necessary support to enhance their educational experience. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment and promote the academic and personal development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- One-on-one or small group support to students, focusing on their specific learning needs.
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and resources to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of different SEN conditions and the ability to tailor support accordingly
- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with students
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing needs and priorities
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in SEN support are desirable
