Axcis Education is working with a primary school in St Helens that is looking to recruit a teaching assistant to support children in KS1 with SATS and Phonics interventions. This full-time role requires the successful candidate to start with immediate effect. The ideal teaching assistant will have experience of working with pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour at primary age level. An understanding of communication aids and techniques such as PECs is desirable but not essential. In addition, a current Team Teach Certificate would be desirable but not essential. This primary school is based in the centre of St Helens and boasts excellent transport links and parking facilities. This role would begin after next week (or sooner for the right candidate) and would be until February half-term in the first instance.
