JOB WORKING HOURS:
Axcis Education are working in partnership with large all-through school in Exeter who are keen to recruit several Learning Support Assistants that are committed to supporting and nurturing primary or secondary age pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Aspergers and behavioural difficulties.
This full time, long-term role will be a 1-1 in mainstream setting. This is a safe and encouraging environment where the pupils are nurtured and supported to reach their full potential though a range of highly engaging lessons and activities.
The role involves working on a 1-1 or small group basis to support the pupils learning. This role is from Monday to Friday starting ASAP until the end of the academic year, term time only with the following hours: 8.30am to 4.30 each day. This role pays £75 per day. The school is located in EX4 and free parking is available.
The successful Learning Support Assistant should:
" Be resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
" Have a caring and compassion approach
" Have an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding guidelines
" Understand the delicate nature of working with pupils with behavioural difficulties.
" Have the drive to consistently engage pupils with creative activities
" Be able to provide evidence of successful experiences from working with primary or secondary age pupils who have special educational needs.
