Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Do you have experience supporting vulnerable adults or children with SEND? Are you looking for work that is suited to you and flexible? Axcis is working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Bristol to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The role is supporting students with various additional needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and autism in class on a 1:1 basis or small group basis. There may also be opportunities to runout of class interventions supporting specific skills such as reading and writing. This opportunity would be suitable for someone who has previous experience supporting in schools or working with children in a similar capacity. Working hours for this role are between 8.30 to 3.30 and the daily rate of pay starts from £93.48. Key Responsibilities include: - Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment that focuses on the wellbeing of the students - Adapting the support given to the needs and ability of the individual students - Effectively minimising and handling meltdowns, outbursts and disruptive behaviour - Helping with personal care and manual handling for the students when required Requirements for this role include experience supporting individuals with SEND, strong communication, written English skills, Right to Work in UK and a DBS on the update service.
