The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: - Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and SEMH needs. - Support students in accessing the curriculum, helping them with their learning, engagement, and personal development. - Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs. - Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment. - Help with personal care (if required) and promote independence in students. - Encourage social interaction and engagement in classroom activities. What We’re Looking For: ? Experience working in an educational or support setting (schools, care, youth work, etc.). ? A passion for working with children and young people with additional needs. ? Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. ? A willingness to adapt and work flexibly in different school environments. ? Experience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or complex needs is highly desirable. ? Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or SEND-related training (desirable but not essential).
