Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Stockport & Tameside, Greater Manchester Pay: £83.40 - £95 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time & Part-time positions available Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Axcis Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in primary, secondary, and specialist SEND schools across Stockport and Tameside. The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: - Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and SEMH needs. - Support students in accessing the curriculum, helping them with their learning, engagement, and personal development. - Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs. - Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment. - Help with personal care (if required) and promote independence in students. - Encourage social interaction and engagement in classroom activities. What We’re Looking For: ? Experience working in an educational or support setting (schools, care, youth work, etc.). ? A passion for working with children and young people with additional needs. ? Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. ? A willingness to adapt and work flexibly in different school environments. ? Experience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or complex needs is highly desirable. ? Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or SEND-related training (desirable but not essential).
