Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs? Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a welcoming and inclusive college setting.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with students aged 11–16 who may have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. You will support them both in and out of the classroom to ensure they can access the curriculum, develop their independence, and thrive in their college environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one or small group support
• Assist students with understanding and completing tasks
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Adapt learning materials under the guidance of teaching staff
• Support learners with life skills and personal development
Requirements:
• Experience working with young people or individuals with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service – this is essential
• A patient, flexible, and positive approach to supporting learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
