Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Lewisham
We are currently seeking an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive SEND school based in Lewisham. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
Role Details:
• Location: Lewisham
• Role: SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
• Setting: Mixed primary and secondary SEND school
• Ages: Pupils aged 4–16
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Pay: Starting rate £92.63 PAYE per day
• Ongoing / term-time only
About the School:
The school caters for pupils with a wide range of needs, including:
• Speech and language difficulties
• Social communication needs
• Autism Spectrum Condition
• Emotionally vulnerable pupils
The school provides a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are supported to develop both academically and socially.
The Role:
As a SEND LSA, you will support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and develop key life and communication skills. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide consistent and tailored support.
Requirements:
• Previous SEND experience is essential
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting vulnerable learners
