Midday Meal Supervisor – Primary School – Tower Hamlets
£13–£15 per hour | 11:30am–2:00pm | Term-Time Only | Tower Hamlets
Axcis are working with a warm and community-driven primary school in Tower Hamlets who are looking to appoint a reliable and caring Midday Meal Supervisor to join their lunchtime team.
This school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and strong pastoral care. Lunchtime is seen as an extension of the classroom — a time where children build friendships, develop social skills and learn positive routines. The right person will play an important role in maintaining a safe, calm and happy environment during this key part of the school day.
The school is well-connected via DLR, Underground and bus routes, making it easily accessible across East London.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground, ensuring behaviour expectations are upheld and all children feel safe and supported.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supervising pupils during lunch and playground time
• Encouraging positive behaviour and respectful interaction
• Supporting children who may need additional guidance
• Monitoring safety and responding to minor incidents appropriately
• Communicating effectively with teaching staff

• Experience working with children (school or care experience desirable)
• Calm, observant and confident approach
• Ability to manage behaviour positively
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
