Qualified Maths Teacher – Secondary SEND Support | East London Location: East London Position: Qualified Maths Teacher (SEND Focus) Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you a qualified Maths teacher passionate about supporting secondary-aged students with SEND? Axcis Education is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in East London to recruit a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to help students with a range of learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your subject expertise with a strong commitment to inclusive education. About the Role: As a SEND Maths Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 Support pupils with individual learning needs, EHCPs, and reduced class sizes Work closely with the SENDCo, LSAs, and therapists to implement personalised strategies Track and assess student progress using inclusive assessment tools Create a calm, encouraging, and structured learning environment Adapt resources and teaching approaches to support a range of cognitive and behavioural needs This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys creative planning and building strong, trusting relationships with students. Requirements: QTS or QTLS (essential) Strong subject knowledge in Maths and experience teaching secondary age groups Experience working with students with SEND (either in mainstream or specialist settings) Confident with classroom differentiation and behaviour support strategies Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping every child succeed Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Why Choose Axcis Education?
