Job Title: PMLD Classroom Assistant
PMLD Classroom Assistant – Special School – Havering
From £95/day | Special School | Havering | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
Axcis are working with a special school in Havering supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical needs. The school offers outstanding facilities, a skilled multidisciplinary team, and an ethos rooted in dignity, communication, and joy. In this role, you will be:
• Supporting pupils with complex learning, medical and sensory needs in 1:1 and group settings.
• Assisting with personal care, feeding, postural support and mobility (full training provided).
• Engaging pupils through sensory learning and creative, hands-on activities.
• Working closely with teachers, OTs, and physios to deliver personalised programmes.
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience in PMLD, complex needs or care-based roles.
• Compassion, patience and attention to detail.
• Team spirit and willingness to support wherever needed.
