About the School
We are recruiting for a warm, inclusive SEND school in NW4 dedicated to supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). their pupils require a high level of care and personalised support, and we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, committed, and reliable Teaching Assistant / Carer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet the educational, medical, and personal care needs of our PMLD students.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD
Assist with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and moving & handling
Support pupils’ communication, sensory, and physical needs
Help implement individual education and care plans (EHCPs)
Maintain a calm, safe, and positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and care protocols at all times
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (PMLD experience desirable but not essential)
Is caring, patient, and resilient
Comfortable supporting personal care and medical needs
Able to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching and therapy staff
