Job Title: Pre-School Assistant
Pre-School Teaching Assistant Location: Corfe Castle, Dorset Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Pay: £89–£95 per day Are you passionate about supporting young children as they begin their educational journey? We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing pre-school setting, providing support to children—some of whom have additional needs. About the Role: This full-time role offers a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s early development. You will deliver personalised, child-centred support that encourages communication, confidence, and steady progress. The position may include elements of personal care, so a compassionate, respectful, and hands-on approach is essential. Key Responsibilities: - Provide consistent 1:1 support to pre-school children, including those with additional needs - Assist with learning, play, and developmental activities in line with the EYFS framework - Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to follow and adapt individual support plans - Support personal care needs with dignity, sensitivity, and professionalism - Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and encouraging environment that promotes emotional and social development The Ideal Candidate: - Experience working within an EYFS setting and relevant early years qualifications (essential) - A strong understanding of early childhood development - Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential) - A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young learners - Willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and personal care This is an excellent opportunity to join a warm, supportive pre-school community and play a key role in helping children grow, thrive, and flourish during their formative early years.
