Job Title: PRU - Teaching Assistant - Preston
Full Time
A highly respected PRU in the Nelson area are requesting a full time Teaching Assistants to join their busy but rewarding environment. The hours of work for this role will be 8.45am - 3.30pm and is Monday to Friday. Experience working in a PRU is not essential. However experience supporting children in KS2 with challenging behaviours is necessary. Team Teach training would be an advantage to this role. The vacancy will commence in the KS1 or KS2 department and will involve supporting pupils with a variety of SEND and social and emotional difficulties. Due to the nature of the role you must have a calm, pro active attitude, and be equipped to encourage and improve the students learning with a positive can do approach. The school has fantastic grounds on which the children are allowed recreational time and encouraged to participate in games and activities outdoors, while the building is very secure and offers all the children and staff the opportunity to work in well resourced environments. This position is to commence ASAP and will run till the end of the academic year. This is a temporary position.
