Job Title: Qualified Teachers (QTS), All-age ASD-Specific SEND School
Axcis is working with a wonderful all-age ASD-specific special school in Walsall. This school has a big heart and is looking for teachers that will foster their values of "team work, equality, happiness, confidence and kindness". Due to the growth of the school they are currently looking to employ 2 teachers on permanent contracts, the placement at the school will start off on a trial basis to ensure both the candidate and the school are happy to commit to each other prior moving onto permanent contracts. One of the roles will be within the primary department and the other within the secondary department. Whilst the school caters to children and young people aged 4 to 16 years most children are currently working within the the Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS) and Primary curriculums, therefore knowledge of these curriculums is essential. The school specialises in supporting children and young people aged 4 to 16 years with Complex Autism, tailoring their provision to each individual’s needs. They are also looking for 2-3 teachers to work on a more casual basis across the school weekly, covering daily absence. The school is looking for teachers who have previous SEND experience, preferably as a teacher within a SEND school or resource hub. The schools curriculum covers mainly the EYFS and Primary curriculum and so developmental and primary curriculum knowledge is essential.
