Are you an experienced Carer, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step into education?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking compassionate, patient and dedicated individuals to join their team as Teaching Assistants supporting pupils with complex special educational needs (SEND) from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in care who are passionate about making a difference in children's lives. If you have experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, physical disabilities, learning disabilities or medical needs, your transferable skills are highly valued.
The Role:
Support primary-aged pupils with complex SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Assist with communication, sensory activities and personalised learning programmes.
Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Support pupils with their social, emotional and personal development throughout the school day.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience as a Carer, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role.
Is calm, patient, empathetic and resilient.
Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Is willing to learn and develop within a specialist educational setting.
Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).
