About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistants to join our SEND Unit. In this role, you will support pupils with a range of physical needs and learning difficulties, helping them to achieve their full potential and thrive in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement tailored learning plans, provide one-on-one and small group support, and assist with personal care and mobility where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with physical needs and learning difficulties.
• Assist in the delivery of personalised learning programs in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Support the management of classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help with personal care, including mobility and other physical support as required.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
• Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
What We Are Looking For:
• A genuine passion for working with students with SEND, particularly those with physical needs and learning difficulties.
• Experience working with children or adults with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and support them both academically and emotionally.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of professional conduct and safeguarding practices.
