Axcis are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic specialist SEND school located in West Drayton. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced teacher to join a well-established and supportive team that is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
This full-time, long-term role begins in September 2025, with trials available immediately and a strong possibility of leading to a permanent position.
About the School
-Caters to 106 pupils with EHCPs
-All pupils diagnosed with SEMH needs
-Many students also have ADHD, ASD, and other associated conditions
-Small class sizes (around 8 pupils per class)
-Warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment with excellent facilities and leadership
Candidate Requirements
-UK classroom teaching experience (essential)
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferred but not essential
-Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
-Strong background in SEND, particularly SEMH, ADHD, and ASD
-Proven strategies for managing challenging behaviour in a structured, positive way
-Ability to plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
-Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
