Job Title: SEMH Teacher Location: Sutton, London Salary: Paid to Scale Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher with a specialization in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our team in Sutton, London. The ideal candidate will be a resilient, dynamic, and inspirational educator with a commitment to providing exceptional education and support to students with SEMH needs. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH, ensuring all learning activities meet their diverse needs. • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth, confidence, and resilience. • Implement individual education plans (IEP) and behavioural interventions, consistently monitoring and reviewing the progress of each student. • Collaborate with other professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and social workers to support the holistic development of each student. • Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and offer guidance on managing emotional and behavioural challenges at home. • Maintain current knowledge of educational best practices and legal requirements related to SEND provision. Qualifications: • A UK recognized teaching qualification (QTS). • Previous experience working with children with SEMH or SEND. • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the challenges faced by students with SEMH. • Excellent behaviour management skills and resilience in challenging situations. • Empathetic, patient, and driven to make a difference.
