Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive staff team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Key Stage 3 and 4 students, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs and promote positive learning experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom. - Assist teaching staff in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. - Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. - Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff and SENCO. Requirements: - Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting, with a focus on SEMH support. - Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. - A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people. - Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs or Mental Health support (desirable but not essential).
