We at Axcis are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, Teaching Assistant role in Taunton. This remarkable SEN school is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 10-18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education. The school's mission is to equip each student with the skills they need to reach their full potential while ensuring they are respected and valued as individuals. The school prides itself on a personal approach to learning, preparing students with the tools they need to succeed in the outside world and having reached their academic potential. They are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team from September on a long-term or temp-to-perm basis. Ideally, candidates will have experience in an SEMH setting or a school-based environment. The ability to manage very challenging behavior and deescalate situations effectively is essential. While no formal qualifications are required for this role, any relevant qualifications or skills would be a valuable asset. A DBS on the update service is essential, and we can assist with this process.
