Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
A mainstream secondary school in Brent are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the team. This full-time position involves working with Key Stage 3 or 4 students, providing essential support to help them thrive academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. - Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies. - Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation. - Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support for each student. Requirements: - Must have at least 6 months of experience working in a school setting. - Proven experience supporting students with ASD, SEMH needs, or similar challenges. - Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday // 8.30-4 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. - A genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with special needs.
