SEND Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream College
Plumstead, London
From Tuesday 1st September
3 days per week (Term Time Only) between 9-5
£92.63 per day
Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic learning support assistant (LSA) to provide support for young adults with additional needs within a fantastic, well-resourced mainstream college. The student you will be supporting will be enrolled in a Level 2 Hairdressing certification, alongside providing 1:1 support in English and Maths. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping young people achieve their educational and personal goals.
Duties of the role:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND
• Support students studying towards a Level 2 certification in Hairdressing
• Delivering focused support within English and Maths, and help monitor their progress
• Aid in developing confidence, independence, and employability skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND.
• Knowledge or interest in Hairdressing or Beauty is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
• Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Relevant LSA, SEND and Hairdressing qualifications are desirable
