Job Title: SEND PRIMARY/ SECONDARY TEACHING ASSISTANT - ASD
Location: Merton Position: Full-Time Primary/Secondary Teaching Assistant Daily Rate: £95 We are seeking a committed and empathetic Teaching Assistant to work across both primary and secondary settings in Merton. This full-time role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to engage fully in their learning and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated support to students with ASD in both primary and secondary classrooms. Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons to meet the individual needs of students. Help manage behaviour using positive reinforcement and ASD-specific strategies. Support students in developing their communication, social, and independent living skills. Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide focused learning support. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student progress. Requirements: Experience working with students with ASD or special educational needs (SEN) is preferred. Understanding of ASD and effective techniques for supporting students with the condition. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with students with additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team. Commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring the well-being of all students. What We Offer: Competitive daily rate of £95.
