Location: Tower Hamlets Position: Full-Time SEND Secondary Teacher Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Qualification: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Secondary Teacher to join our specialist school in Tower Hamlets. This full-time role is focused on delivering high-quality education to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring every learner reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students with SEND. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work collaboratively with support staff to meet the needs of each student. Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued and supported. Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional and social development. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to monitor student progress and well-being. Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance SEND teaching practices. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience working with students with SEND in a secondary school setting. Strong knowledge of SEND best practices, legislation, and the secondary curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
