Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Teddington, London. The successful candidate will support the educational and personal development of students with varying needs, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages independent learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to meet the needs of students with SEND.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, adapting strategies to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Promote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all learners.
• Assist with the physical and emotional well-being of students, providing guidance and encouragement.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Relevant experience in a SEND or educational support role is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A patient, empathetic approach with a passion for helping young people succeed.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices is desirable.
