Job Title: SEND Teacher - Birmingham
Axcis are looking to appoint SEND Teachers for a variety of day-to-day, short term and long term posts within SEND schools. You should be flexible, confident and have experience in areas such as MLD, SLD, PMLD, EBD, Challenging Behaviour, Physical Disabilities, Hearing / Visual impairment or ASD. Experience with PECS or Makaton and Team-Teach is also an advantage. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about the provision of teaching for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to: -teach 1:1 or small groups -plan and evaluate provision -lead and model excellent practice -guide Learning Support Assistants -liaise with parents and outside agencies -work closely with the school SENCO and teachers This is a temporary position. Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
