Axcis Education are currently recruiting for at a mainstream High School in the St Helens area for a Teacher starting from January 2020. The role will involve teaching in the behavioural unit at KS3 and KS4 initially for the spring term until Easter with the potential to extend until July. The High school has a higher than average level of free school meals and SEND pupils but is also fortunate enough to have a specialist challenging behaviour and ASD unit within the school. Supported by Teaching Assistants within the classroom, the successful candidate will be responsible for their own planning and assessment and will be given full autonomy. The head of department is keen to meet with individuals who have the following: * Subject specialists in any * Recent experience of a similar role teaching at KS3 & KS4 * Experienced teachers or NQT's * Experience of supporting learners with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and or Autism You will be joining a supportive team who strive for the best results from their pupils and are keen to share knowledge and experience within the deparment to promote best practice.
