We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. Role Overview As a SEND Teacher, you will work closely with students with autism and Down's syndrome, delivering a tailored curriculum that meets their individual needs. You will plan, implement, and assess lessons that are engaging, interactive, and accessible, ensuring all students are supported to make progress. Working collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and specialists will be key to ensuring that each child’s learning journey is well-supported and personalised. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver a differentiated curriculum tailored to the needs of students with autism and Down’s syndrome. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and social development. Develop and review individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENDCo, parents, and other professionals. Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. About You We are seeking a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting children with SEND. The ideal candidate will have: A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). Experience working with students with autism, Down’s syndrome, and other SEND in an educational setting.
