Job Title: Send Teacher
Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher Location: London, SW15 Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Pay: Paid to scale We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and collaborative primary school team in London. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with a range of special educational needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, and those exhibiting challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential. • Implement behaviour management strategies that are effective for students with challenging behaviours while maintaining a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere. • Work collaboratively with support staff, including teaching assistants and SENCO, to ensure the provision of a coordinated approach to student learning and well-being. • Regularly assess and track the progress of each student, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet their evolving needs. • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other professionals to provide updates on student progress and to discuss support strategies. • Stay up to date with the latest educational strategies and pedagogies for teaching students with SEND. Qualifications: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent qualification. • Proven experience in teaching students with SEND, particularly with ADHD, Autism, and challenging behaviours. • Deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices and the ability to apply these in a classroom setting. • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
