Teaching Assistant – Supporting Students with Complex Medical & Physical Needs

Pay: £89–£95 per day

Are you a care worker, healthcare assistant, or medical support professional looking to bring your skills into an educational setting? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with severe medical needs, physical disabilities, and complex learning requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who naturally demonstrates resilience, patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. You will play a vital part in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and able to access learning in a meaningful way.
What the role involves:
Providing day-to-day support for students with significant medical and physical needs
Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and medical professionals
Assisting with personal care routines where required
Creating a nurturing, calm, and structured learning environment
Using clear, compassionate communication to support emotional well-being
Remaining resilient and adaptable in a dynamic, needs-led setting
We’re looking for:
Experience in care, healthcare, or medical support settings
Genuine empathy and patience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A calm approach and the ability to stay level-headed under pressure
A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
