Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Complex Needs
Experienced SEND Teacher – SEN School (NW4)
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in NW4, supporting students with PMLD and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner to make a real impact in a highly supportive and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver highly personalised lessons tailored to students with PMLD and complex needs
Lead a class team, including Teaching Assistants, to ensure consistent and effective support
Develop and implement EHCP-focused learning strategies and targets
Support students with communication, sensory engagement, and life skills development
Work collaboratively with therapists, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience working within SEN settings, particularly with PMLD and complex needs
Strong understanding of differentiation, sensory approaches, and alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
Confidence managing and supporting a team of support staff
A patient, resilient, and creative approach to teaching
