Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant In Walsall
Start Date: ASAP Location: Walsall Position Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) Pay: From £89 per day We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Walsall with an immediate start available. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. The Role: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and activities • Support the implementation of EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation • Promote pupils’ independence, confidence, and engagement in learning • Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff Requirements: • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (preferred) • Experience working within a school setting is desirable • A patient, proactive, and resilient attitude • Strong communication and teamwork skills • A genuine passion for working with children • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming school community that values inclusion, teamwork, and pupil progress.
