Working Hours: 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM (Term Time)
Location: Morden, SM4
Pay: £83.40 – £90 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
Axcis Education is seeking compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism in specialist SEND settings. This rewarding role allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults, helping them thrive in their education.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 3 to 19 on a 1:1 or small group basis. Your responsibilities will include supporting their learning, providing personal care when needed, and assisting the class teacher with individualized education plans. You will also contribute to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism in a specialist SEND setting.
• Assist with personal care and ensure students' comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored education plans.
• Help create an inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
What We’re Looking For:
• Caring, dedicated individuals passionate about supporting students with Autism.
• Experience in SEND settings is preferred but not essential.
• Day-to-day and long-term opportunities available during term time.
• A positive, proactive approach to working with children and young adults with additional needs.
