Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant One-To-One
Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – ARP, Primary School N3 Full-time position (Term time only) We are seeking a dedicated, resilient and caring Teaching Assistant to join our Additional Resource Provision (ARP) in a friendly primary school based in N3. This is a full-time role supporting a 10-year-old girl on a 1:1 basis. About the Role Supporting a KS2 pupil with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs. Working 1:1 within the ARP in the morning and supporting in the main KS2 classroom in the afternoon. The pupil has minimal verbal language but understands much more than she expresses. She is highly independent, self-led, and currently finds it difficult to engage with routines, including visual timetables and sensory breaks. The role involves managing challenging behaviour, supporting emotional regulation, and maintaining a calm, consistent approach. About You We are looking for someone who is: Patient, emotionally resilient, and able to stay calm under pressure. Confident in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation techniques. Consistent, nurturing and able to set clear, firm boundaries. Willing to work closely with the ARP team and follow agreed support strategies. Experienced (or keen to learn) in supporting children with communication difficulties, autism, or social-emotional needs. We Offer Supportive staff and leadership team.
