Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – PRU
We are seeking a nurturing and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Slough, supporting children and young people who have been excluded from mainstream education. This is a full-time position, working across both primary and secondary age groups, providing vital support to pupils with a range of special educational needs and challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision setting. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships and provide a calm, supportive presence. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to re-engage pupils in learning, help them develop positive coping strategies and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Requirements:
Previous experience with SEND, particularly challenging behaviour
Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Ability to work effectively across primary and secondary age ranges
A caring, resilient and nurturing approach
Start: Immediate or ASAP
Location: Slough
Pay: £89 per day
