Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding SEN Primary School in Northolt, Ealing. This provision caters to children with a variety of special educational needs and has received an exceptional Ofsted report. The role involves providing excellent 1:1 and group support to children with Autism, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with Autism, following their Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
-Collaborate with class teachers to plan and implement tailored interventions and support strategies.
-Implement and adjust Individual Education Plans (IEPs) based on the progress and specific needs of students.
-Support students in developing essential social, communication, and life skills.
-Monitor and record student progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents.
-Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment.#
Requirements:
-Knowledge and understanding of Makaton and PECS is essential.
-Willingness to assist with personal care as required.
-Experience working with children with Autism, particularly in primary school settings.
-Strong communication skills.
-A valid DBS on the Update Service (UPS).
